We are absolutely thrilled to announce Sonny B. as the Christopher Smith Foundation April Caregiver of the Month!
Last month, Sonny was presented his certificate and caregiver appreciation gift by Jason Smith, Co-Founder of the Christopher Smith Foundation.
Sonny says, “I love my work as a caregiver. I enjoy working one on one with individuals who genuinely need my help in their home environment. I find it enjoyable and very rewarding.
In my career as a caregiver, I often ask myself how I would care for my client as if they are my own family and the simple answer is treating them with respect and dignity. That is why I usually ask my clients and the family members what their priority is. Some would say, it’s exercise to get their strength back, assistance in doing household activities or just wanting someone to talk to and keep them company.
When I see my client working hard to get better, it shows that all my efforts in helping her have a meaningful purpose and I feel appreciated when my client and her family members notice the improvements in health.
Helping others and seeing them improve their quality of life makes my what I do worth it.”
Thank you Sonny, for all of the care and dedication shown to your clients over the years.
